Ellen Ficklen, Co-President
A member of the board of Anne Frank House since 2013, Ellen is on the Development Committee, where her focus is on writing grants and building foundation relationships. Previously, Ellen served on the board of visitors of National Cathedral School and was a member of the professional advisory group for clinical pastoral education at Saint Elizabeth's Hospital. A career writer and editor, Ellen has held a number of editorial positions in the Washington, DC area, and she has been widely published throughout the U.S. She teaches a course for medical professionals, “Narrative Medicine,” through the Creative Nonfiction Foundation and developed and teaches a class on science narratives in the M.A. in Science Writing Program at Johns Hopkins University.
